La perfección de lo imperfecto

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Create to create

What do you do when you're bored? When i am, i make, randomly, little things. This is just one of them, a "thing" to pin somewhere...your hair, a t-shirt... I know it's a little piece of shit, but its the kind of stuff that keeps my mind switched on while thinking in other future creations (much much better ones, believe me)

My own fairytale

So here you've got the start of my research. My design project is going to be based in a combination of darkness and light, a world of dreams and nightmares, where fairytales become true. There's actually a wider explanation, but i know, even if i tried, i wouldn't be able to communicate you with words the feelings i've got about this idea.
At least i hope you get that from the images and imagine a world of your own. That's my target.

I tried to divide the images in different A3 papers, clasified in shapes, textures, colours, and feelings...

Always wishing...

I'm really into collage right now, doing my research for my future collection based in dark (specially dark, magical creatures, and even more specially in the one's from the film Pan's Labyrinth), combined with "rays of light", such as creamy cupcakes.... I know at the moment all this won't make any sense to you, but it does to me i think... We'll se by July what i end up with, but until then, i'll keep you informed.
Anyway, in all this research, i found the work of Lovisa Burfitt, an illustrator with a big drawing personality... I wish i could manage with a few lines, captivate de essence of something or someone...

The photographer of all my photoshoots (obviously including this one), wanted to experiment with light and make-up... So this is the result. We are just trying out for the moment, but in a short future we'll do a better photoshoot. Anyway, these are the captures that i liked better... he will probably disagree with me, but i hope you like them!
Here i leave you the address of his blog, which is kind of "under construction", but you've got a link there to his flickr:

I know i keep feeling fascinated by others work, but it's the way i've got for learning. I've always heard, since i was little, that a good writer, is the one who's read a lot, and the same happens with painting or photography. I guess a designer is a mixture of everything, so if i want to be one, a really good one, i'll have to train my eyes, hands and brain 24 hours a day, even when i'm sleeping... It may sound crazy, but i'm becoming a little crazy lately with the amount of work i've got...
Nearly forget...!
